Modernism Week a Palm Springs. Arrivederci al 2015 per la 10ma edizione.

Si è appena conclusa a Palm Springs, California, la nona edizione della Modernism Week, evento annuale che celebra l'architettura, il design, l'arte, la moda e la cultura degli anni '50.



Modernism Week a Palm Springs. Arrivederci al 2015 per la 10ma edizione.

Il modernismo gode di molti fans in tutto il mondo e ha anche una sua capitale: Palm Springs in California.
Da 9 anni la Modernism week celebra l'architettura e il design della metà del secolo scorso con una particolare attenzione all'educazione e preservazione delle preesistenze. Guarda inoltre alle nuove scuole di pensiero ed in particolare alla sostenibilità.

Dal 13 al 23 febbraio 2014 si sono svolti oltre 100 eventi tra cui visite guidate, film, lezioni, parties, la Modernism Show ha esplorato così il patrimonio architettonico e storico di Palm Springs e dintorni.
L'offerta culturale viene completata dal Modernism Week Scholarship program, iniziato nel 2011, che assegna una borsa di studio agli studenti meritevoli.
Sono già note le date per il decimo anniversario del festival. Da segnare in agenda dal 12 al 22 febbraio 2015.
